旧奥行臼駅逓所

 

駅逓所とは、近代の北海道において交通不便の地に駅舎と人馬等を備えて、物資の逓送や宿泊等に使うため設置された施設です。明治期以降、北海道では独自の制度として存続し、開拓と連動して発展を遂げました。旧奥行臼駅逓所は、明治43年に駅逓取扱人山崎藤次郎の自宅を駅舎として開設され、現在も当時の様子をとどめています。周辺には、国鉄旧標津線奥行臼駅跡や簡易軌道の旧別海村営軌道風蓮線奥行臼停留所跡があり、内陸開拓の交通の要所であったことがうかがえます。

 

Ex-Okuyukiusu Ekiteijo

“Ekiteijo” is complex facilities that play some roles of station office, hotel, post office, and stables for poor transportation of Modern Hokkaido. From Meiji period in Hokkaido, “Ekiteijo” was continuing as the original system and progressing in conjunction with the development.

 

This site was started their system in 1910 after changing from a house of Yamazaki Toujirou, the person responsible of this ekiteijo, to the station building. Now this building is staying here with same form at that time. Around there, ex-Okuyukiusu Station of Japanese National Railways Shibetu Line and the site of the Okuyukiusu stop of the Bekkai Village Simple Orbital Furen Line are existing. This shows that these spots were important for traffic of the inland development.

国鉄旧標津線

 

旧標津線は、広大な根釧原野の内陸開拓を使命として生まれ、1989年まで地域の生活や産業を支えた総延長116.9㎞に及ぶ鉄路でした。根室標津駅跡では転車台と蒸気機関車を見ることができます。上武佐駅跡、川北駅跡にはフットパスが整備されており、線路跡や周辺を散策し楽しめます。西春別駅跡には鉄道記念館があり、展示や保存車両を見ることができます。

 

 

JNR Ex-Shibetsu Line

Ex-Shibetsu Line was installed to develop inland if the vast Konsen wilderness. Until 1989, this line was the total length of 116.9km railroad that supported the local life and the industry. In the site of Nemuro-Shibetsu Station, you can see the turntable for train and the steam locomotive. In ex-Kamimusa Station and ex-Kawakita Station, they have footpaths to enjoy walking and the disused railway tracks. In ex-Nishishunnbetsu Station, there is a railway memorial hall and exhibits things about the railway history and preserved train car.

べつかい郊楽苑

 

地下50mから湧出した天然モール温泉。モール泉特有の茶褐色にあふれる大浴場は太古の植物がやさしく肌にうるおいを与えます。緑を眺めながら、星空を眺めながら源泉かけ流しの露天風呂でドライブ旅の疲れを落としてみてはいかがでしょう。

Bekkai-Kourakuen

Bekkai-Kourakuen is the hot spring spot. It’s natural moll hot spring and gushing out from 50m underground. This hot water is brown color and it’s gentle on the skin and moisturize. You can take the open-air bath of 100% pure hot spring looking the nature and the starry sky. Bathing in the hot spring melts away your stress of driving!!
